Recognizing signs of kidney disease

Date: July 15th, 2024
Category: General knowledge

The first symptoms of kidney problems include fluid retention, leading to tissue swelling, changes in urination frequency and appearance, burning during urination, elevated blood pressure, headaches, and fatigue.

While pain can be a direct indicator of an issue, serious kidney problems may sometimes occur without pain. Same indications are often found in other diseases as well. It's important to consult a doctor if you experience similar symptoms, as they can often be associated with other diseases. Simple blood and urine tests can reveal kidney problems that may require further evaluation.

The kidneys possess a significant functional reserve. Some individuals are born with only one kidney and experience no issues. In fact, a person can function relatively well with as little as 15% of kidney tissue functioning.
